Oracle Layoffs 2026: हजारों कर्मचारियों पर गिरी गाज, Tech सेक्टर में छंटनी का संकट गहराया
टेक जगत से एक बार फिर चौंकाने वाली खबर सामने आ रही है। दिग्गज क्लाउड कंप्यूटिंग कंपनी Oracle ने अपने हजारों कर्मचारियों की छंटनी (Layoffs) शुरू कर दी है। रॉयटर्स और सीएनबीसी की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, यह कदम कंपनी के “रिडक्शन इन फोर्स” (RIF) और अन्य संगठनात्मक बदलावों का हिस्सा है।
Washington and Seattle पर बड़ा असर
ओरेकल ने वॉशिंगटन स्टेट में ‘वर्कर एडजस्टमेंट एंड रिट्रेनिंग नोटिफिकेशन’ (WARN) एक्ट के तहत एक नोटिस दायर किया है। इसके मुताबिक, कंपनी वॉशिंगटन राज्य में रिमोट काम करने वाले और सिएटल कार्यालयों में तैनात लगभग 491 कर्मचारियों की छुट्टी करने जा रही है। यह छंटनी 1 जून, 2026 से प्रभावी होगी। हालांकि, कंपनी ने स्पष्ट किया है कि उसके सिएटल स्थित साइट्स पूरी तरह बंद नहीं होंगे, बल्कि वे परिचालन में बने रहेंगे।
Tech Industry में छंटनी का सिलसिला जारी
सिर्फ Oracle ही नहीं, बल्कि पूरा टेक सेक्टर इस समय कठिन दौर से गुजर रहा है। Layoffs.fyi के आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, इस साल अब तक 70 से अधिक तकनीकी कंपनियों ने लगभग 40,480 कर्मचारियों को नौकरी से निकाला है। ओरेकल की यह छंटनी दर्शाती है कि बड़ी टेक कंपनियां अपनी लागत घटाने और संसाधनों के पुनर्गठन (Restructuring) पर जोर दे रही हैं।
कर्मचारियों के लिए चुनौतियां
मंगलवार को आई इस खबर ने ओरेकल के वैश्विक कार्यबल के बीच चिंता पैदा कर दी है। सूत्रों के अनुसार, यह छंटनी केवल एक क्षेत्र तक सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि हजारों लोगों को प्रभावित कर रही है। कंपनी ने इसे एक “फोर्स रिडक्शन” करार दिया है, जिसका उद्देश्य भविष्य की चुनौतियों के लिए संगठन को तैयार करना है।
