दक्षिण दिल्ली के मालवीय नगर इलाके से एक दिल दहला देने वाली घटना सामने आई है। यहाँ के घनी आबादी वाले हौज रानी क्षेत्र में स्थित ‘फ्लरिश स्टेज’ (Flourish Stays) नामक एक बेड-एंड-ब्रेकफास्ट होटल में बुधवार तड़के भीषण आग लग गई। इस दर्दनाक हादसे में 21 लोगों की मौत हो गई, जिनमें 9 भारतीय और 12 विदेशी नागरिक शामिल हैं। इस भीषण त्रासदी में मरने वालों का आंकड़ा और भी बड़ा हो सकता था, अगर स्थानीय दुकानदार और उनके बेटे ने देवदूत बनकर लोगों की मदद न की होती।
इंसानियत की मिसाल: रियाजुद्दीन और अरमान की जांबाजी
होटल के ठीक सामने पिछले चार दशकों से गद्दे की दुकान चलाने वाले रियाजुद्दीन मंसूरी और उनके बेटे अरमान ने अपनी जान की परवाह किए बिना कई मेहमानों को सुरक्षित बाहर निकाला। अरमान ने बताया कि सुबह जब उन्हें आग की सूचना मिली, तो होटल की जमीनी मंजिल पूरी तरह आग की लपटों में घिरी थी। ऊपरी मंजिलों पर फंसे लोग चिल्ला रहे थे और बचने के लिए नीचे कूदने की बात कह रहे थे।
ऐसे नाजुक समय में, पिता-पुत्र ने बिना वक्त गंवाए अपनी दुकान से लगभग 20 से 22 नए गद्दे और रजाइयां निकालीं और उन्हें जलती हुई इमारत के नीचे सड़क पर एक के ऊपर एक बिछा दिया। इस अस्थाई सुरक्षा तंत्र (Cushion) की मदद से इमारत में फंसे लोग खिड़कियों से सुरक्षित नीचे कूदने में कामयाब रहे।
₹2 लाख का नुकसान, पर बचा ली कई जिंदगियां
इस रेस्क्यू ऑपरेशन में रियाजुद्दीन को करीब ₹2 लाख का आर्थिक नुकसान उठाना पड़ा। उन्होंने शवों और घायलों को निकालने के लिए अपनी दुकान से चादरें और रजाई के कवर भी मुफ्त में दे दिए। रियाजुद्दीन ने इंसानियत का संदेश देते हुए कहा:
”इंसानियत के नाते हर कोई बराबर है, चाहे वह हिंदू हो या मुस्लिम। हम सब हिंदुस्तानी हैं। हमारे भाइयों की मदद करना मेरा फर्ज था, चाहे वे किसी भी धर्म के हों।”
सोशल मीडिया पर मुआवजे की मांग
इस बहादुरी के बाद सोशल मीडिया यूजर्स इस पिता-पुत्र की जोड़ी को ‘दिल्ली फायर हीरोज’ कहकर सरहा रहे हैं। लोगों ने सरकार से मांग की है कि रियाजुद्दीन को उनके वित्तीय नुकसान का उचित मुआवजा दिया जाए और उन्हें सम्मानित किया जाए। साथ ही, सुरक्षा नियमों का उल्लंघन करने वाले होटलों और लापरवाह अधिकारियों पर सख्त कार्रवाई की मांग भी उठ रही है।
