दरअसल 57 किलोग्राम वेट कैटेगरी के फाइनल में रवि 2 बार के वर्ल्ड चैंपियन रूस के जावुर युगुऐव से हार गए हैं। हालांकि, रवि सिल्वर मेडल लेकर ही भारत लौटेंगे। बता दे इस मैच में युगुऐव ने उन्हें 3 पॉइंट से मात दी।
कजाकिस्तान के खिलाड़ी को हरा कर किया था फाइनल में प्रवेश।
रवि ने कुश्ती के सेमीफाइनल में कजाकिस्तान के सनायेव नूरीस्लाम को हराकर फाइनल में प्रवेश किया। रवि को ये जीत विक्ट्री बाय फॉल नियम से मिली थी यानी उन्होंने नूरीस्लाम को मुकाबले से ही बाहर कर दिया था।

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने रवि दाहिया को ट्वीट कर बधाई दी। उन्होंने कहा- रवि की लड़ने की भावना और दृढ़ता शानदार है। सिल्वर मेडल जीतने पर उन्हें बधाई। उनकी इस उपलब्धि पर पूरा भारत गौरवान्वित है।
