Strait of Hormuz: अमेरिका ने अभी तक तेल टैंकरों को नेवी एस्कॉर्ट नहीं दिया, व्हाइट हाउस का बयान

यह बयान तब आया जब Chris Wright ने इस क्षेत्र में समुद्री ऑपरेशन से जुड़ा एक सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट हटाया था। इसके बाद स्थिति को लेकर कई तरह की अटकलें लगने लगी थीं।
प्रशासन का कहना है कि फिलहाल उनका फोकस वैश्विक ऊर्जा बाजार को स्थिर बनाए रखने पर है। इसके लिए तेल टैंकरों को पॉलिटिकल रिस्क इंश्योरेंस देने और कुछ तेल से जुड़े प्रतिबंधों में अस्थायी छूट देने जैसे कदम उठाए गए हैं।
‘ऑपरेशन एपिक फ्यूरी’ पर बड़ा अपडेट
व्हाइट हाउस ने सैन्य अभियान Operation Epic Fury को लेकर भी अपडेट दिया है। प्रशासन के मुताबिक यह अभियान शुरुआती अनुमान से तेज़ी से आगे बढ़ रहा है।
अधिकारियों के अनुसार अब तक 5,000 से ज्यादा लक्ष्यों पर हमले किए जा चुके हैं और Iranian Navy को काफी नुकसान पहुंचा है।
रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक लगभग 50 ईरानी जहाज नष्ट किए जा चुके हैं, जिनमें एक बड़ा ड्रोन कैरियर भी शामिल है। इससे क्षेत्रीय समुद्री रास्तों में ईरान की सैन्य क्षमता कमजोर हुई है।
अमेरिका में ‘सेव अमेरिका एक्ट’ पर जोर
इसी बीच अमेरिकी प्रशासन घरेलू मोर्चे पर भी एक नए कानून को आगे बढ़ाने की कोशिश कर रहा है। प्रस्तावित Save America Act के तहत संघीय चुनावों में मतदाता पहचान पत्र और नागरिकता का प्रमाण अनिवार्य करने का प्रस्ताव है।
इस बिल में नाबालिगों के लिए जेंडर-अफर्मिंग सर्जरी पर प्रतिबंध और महिलाओं के खेलों में ट्रांसजेंडर महिलाओं की भागीदारी पर भी रोक लगाने का प्रस्ताव शामिल है। प्रशासन ने कांग्रेस से इस कानून को जल्द पारित करने की अपील की है और कहा है कि इससे चुनाव प्रक्रिया को और मजबूत बनाया जा सकेगा।
