व्हाइट हाउस में Women’s History Month कार्यक्रम के दौरान ट्रंप ने कहा कि अमेरिकी सैन्य बल मजबूत तरीके से काम कर रहे हैं और वर्तमान कार्रवाई लंबे समय से चले आ रहे मुद्दों से निपटने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण है।
ट्रंप ने कहा, “ईरान से जुड़ी स्थिति बहुत तेजी से आगे बढ़ रही है। हमारा सैन्य बल बेहद शक्तिशाली है और दुनिया में इसकी बराबरी कोई नहीं कर सकता।”

उनका कहना था कि सेना के आधुनिकीकरण और संसाधनों को बढ़ाने के फैसलों की वजह से आज अमेरिका की सैन्य क्षमता पहले से ज्यादा मजबूत दिखाई दे रही है।
ईरान के परमाणु कार्यक्रम पर अमेरिका की नजर
इससे पहले भी ट्रंप ने स्पष्ट किया था कि मौजूदा टकराव में अमेरिका का मुख्य उद्देश्य ईरान को परमाणु हथियार हासिल करने से रोकना है।
व्हाइट हाउस की ओर से साझा किए गए संदेश में ट्रंप ने कहा कि भले ही तेल की कीमतें बढ़ने से अमेरिका को आर्थिक लाभ हो सकता है, लेकिन उनकी सरकार की प्राथमिकता वैश्विक सुरक्षा है।
पश्चिम एशिया में बढ़ रहा सैन्य तनाव
पश्चिम एशिया में तनाव उस समय और बढ़ गया जब पिछले महीने United States और Israel ने संयुक्त सैन्य अभियान के तहत ईरानी ठिकानों को निशाना बनाया।
रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक इन हमलों में ईरान के पूर्व सर्वोच्च नेता Ali Khamenei की मौत हो गई थी। इसके बाद ईरान ने अमेरिकी और इजराइली हितों से जुड़े ठिकानों पर जवाबी हमले शुरू कर दिए।
इन घटनाओं के कारण खासतौर पर रणनीतिक समुद्री मार्ग Strait of Hormuz के आसपास तनाव बढ़ गया है, जिससे वैश्विक ऊर्जा आपूर्ति और तेल की कीमतों को लेकर चिंता बढ़ रही है।
