T20 वर्ल्ड कप फाइनल में शानदार प्रदर्शन के बाद जब पूरा स्टेडियम “दुबे-दुबे” के नारों से गूंज रहा था, उसी रात भारतीय क्रिकेटर शिवम दुबे चुपचाप ट्रेन से मुंबई लौट रहे थे।
अहमदाबाद के नरेंद्र मोदी स्टेडियम में जीत का जश्न खत्म होने के कुछ घंटे बाद दुबे अहमदाबाद-मुंबई सायाजी एक्सप्रेस के एसी 3-टियर कोच की ऊपरी बर्थ पर रेलवे के भूरे कंबल में छिपे हुए थे।
दरअसल, मुंबई जाने वाली सभी फ्लाइट्स फुल हो चुकी थीं। ऐसे में दुबे ने पत्नी अंजुम और एक दोस्त के साथ ट्रेन से जाने का फैसला किया। उनका कहना था कि वे जल्द से जल्द अपने चार साल के बेटे अयान और दो साल की बेटी मेहविश से मिलना चाहते थे, जो मुंबई में घर पर थे।
पहचान छिपाने के लिए बनाया खास प्लान
शिवम दुबे ने बताया कि ट्रेन से यात्रा करने का फैसला आसान नहीं था क्योंकि उन्हें डर था कि कहीं लोग पहचान न लें। उन्होंने कहा, “फ्लाइट उपलब्ध नहीं थी, इसलिए सुबह की ट्रेन से मुंबई जाने का फैसला किया। 3rd AC के टिकट मिल गए तो हमने तुरंत बुक कर लिए। परिवार और दोस्तों को चिंता थी कि कहीं स्टेशन या ट्रेन में लोग पहचान न लें।”
पहचान छिपाने के लिए दुबे ने कैप, मास्क और फुल स्लीव टी-शर्ट पहन ली। ट्रेन सुबह 5:10 बजे थी, इसलिए उम्मीद थी कि प्लेटफॉर्म पर ज्यादा लोग नहीं होंगे। लेकिन वहां कई क्रिकेट फैंस मौजूद थे, जो अभी भी भारत की जीत के जश्न में थे।
TT से भी बच गई पहचान
स्थिति को देखते हुए दुबे ने एक और योजना बनाई। वे ट्रेन छूटने से पांच मिनट पहले तक कार में ही बैठे रहे और फिर जल्दी से ट्रेन में चढ़ गए।
कोच में पहुंचते ही वे अपनी ऊपरी बर्थ पर चढ़ गए। थोड़ी देर बाद टिकट चेकर आया और पूछा, “शिवम दुबे? वो क्रिकेटर?” इस पर उनकी पत्नी अंजुम ने तुरंत जवाब दिया, “नहीं, नहीं… वो यहां कहां से आएंगे।” इसके बाद टीटी आगे बढ़ गया और दुबे की पहचान छिपी रह गई।
मुंबई पहुंचने पर पुलिस की मदद ली
लगभग आठ घंटे की यात्रा के दौरान दुबे ज्यादा समय अपनी बर्थ पर ही रहे। उन्होंने बताया कि रात में जब वे वॉशरूम तक गए तब भी किसी ने उन्हें नहीं पहचाना। हालांकि, मुंबई के बोरीवली स्टेशन पर दिन में उतरते समय भीड़ का डर था। इसलिए उन्होंने पुलिस से मदद मांगी। दुबे ने बताया कि पुलिस को पहले लगा कि वे एयरपोर्ट पर उतरेंगे, लेकिन जब उन्हें ट्रेन से आने की जानकारी मिली तो उन्होंने स्टेशन पर पुलिस एस्कॉर्ट की व्यवस्था कर दी। इससे वे आराम से बाहर निकल पाए।
पूरे टूर्नामेंट में रहा शानदार प्रदर्शन
टी20 वर्ल्ड कप में शिवम दुबे का प्रदर्शन काफी प्रभावशाली रहा। उन्होंने पूरे टूर्नामेंट में 235 रन बनाए। उनका औसत 39 और स्ट्राइक रेट 169 रहा। फाइनल में भी उन्होंने अहम भूमिका निभाई और आखिरी ओवर में सिर्फ आठ गेंदों पर 26 रन बनाकर भारत को 250 के पार पहुंचाने में मदद की। पूरे टूर्नामेंट में उन्होंने 17 छक्के और 15 चौके लगाए। कोच गौतम गंभीर और कप्तान सूर्यकुमार यादव ने उन्हें टीम में खास भूमिका दी थी, बल्लेबाजी के दौरान रन रेट बनाए रखना और गेंदबाजी में विपक्षी टीम के रन रोकना।

लंबी यात्रा के बाद दोपहर तक शिवम दुबे मुंबई अपने घर पहुंच गए। वहां उनके बेटे अयान और बेटी मेहविश उनका इंतजार कर रहे थे। टी20 वर्ल्ड कप जीतने वाला यह खिलाड़ी आखिरकार अपने परिवार के पास पहुंच गया और रेलवे का भूरा कंबल ट्रेन में ही रह गया।
