नई दिल्ली: जाने-माने एक्टिविस्ट सोनम वांगचुक ने एक बार फिर चर्चा में हैं। उन्होंने सफदरजंग अस्पताल प्रशासन से अस्पताल से ‘अस्थायी रूप से’ डिस्चार्ज करने का अनुरोध किया है ताकि वह कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी (CJP) के ‘संसद चलो’ मार्च में हिस्सा ले सकें।

स्वस्थ महसूस कर रहे हैं वांगचुक

अस्पताल के मेडिकल सुपरिटेंडेंट को लिखे एक हस्तलिखित पत्र में, सोनम वांगचुक ने कहा है कि वह फिलहाल काफी बेहतर महसूस कर रहे हैं और उनके स्वास्थ्य के मानक भी सामान्य हैं। उन्होंने प्रशासन से गुहार लगाई है कि उन्हें सुबह के समय अस्पताल से जाने की अनुमति दी जाए ताकि वह ‘संसद चलो’ मार्च में शामिल हो सकें।

अस्पताल का क्या है कहना?

दूसरी ओर, सफदरजंग अस्पताल ने अपनी मेडिकल बुलेटिन में स्पष्ट किया है कि सोनम वांगचुक को अभी भी लगातार चिकित्सा हस्तक्षेप और निगरानी की आवश्यकता है। विशेषज्ञों की टीम का कहना है कि उनकी स्थिति पर लगातार नज़र रखी जा रही है ताकि किसी भी संभावित जटिलता का समय पर पता लगाया जा सके और इलाज किया जा सके।

अदालत का दरवाजा खटखटाया गया

इस बीच, सोमवार (20 जुलाई, 2026) को दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट ने सोनम वांगचुक की पत्नी गीतांजलि जे. आंगमो द्वारा दायर एक अपील पर सुनवाई के लिए सहमति व्यक्त की है। यह अपील उन्हें सफदरजंग अस्पताल से उनकी पसंद के अस्पताल में स्थानांतरित करने की मांग को लेकर दायर की गई है।

गीतांजलि के वकील, सीनियर एडवोकेट अखिल सिब्बल ने तर्क दिया कि वांगचुक को बिना किसी पूर्व सूचना के जंतर-मंतर से ‘जबरन’ उठाकर अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया था। उन्होंने कहा कि एक व्यक्ति के रूप में उनकी स्वायत्तता का सम्मान किया जाना चाहिए और वह अपनी पसंद के अस्पताल में इलाज पाने के हकदार हैं। इस मामले की सुनवाई आज दोपहर 2:30 बजे होनी है।
