₹2,000 का लालच और स्कॉलरशिप का झांसा: छात्रों को फंसाकर चल रहा था साइबर फ्रॉड, 5 गिरफ्तार
Karnataka: कर्नाटक के गडग जिले में छात्रों को निशाना बनाकर किए जा रहे एक बड़े साइबर फ्रॉड का खुलासा हुआ है। पुलिस ने इस मामले में पांच आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया है, जो हॉस्टल में रहने वाले छात्रों को स्कॉलरशिप दिलाने का झांसा देकर उनके बैंक खातों का इस्तेमाल ठगी के लिए कर रहे थे।
कैसे चलता था पूरा फ्रॉड
पुलिस के मुताबिक, आरोपी लड़कों के हॉस्टल में रहने वाले छात्रों से संपर्क करते थे और उन्हें स्कॉलरशिप दिलाने का वादा करते थे। भरोसा जीतने के लिए वे छात्रों के नाम पर बैंक खाते खुलवाते थे।
खाते खोलने के बाद आरोपी उनमें शुरुआती तौर पर ₹2,000 जमा कर देते थे, जिससे छात्रों को ऑफर असली लगे। इसके बाद वे पासबुक, एटीएम कार्ड, सिम कार्ड और इंटरनेट बैंकिंग से जुड़ी जानकारी अपने कब्जे में ले लेते थे।
बैंक खातों का इस्तेमाल कैसे हुआ
जांच में सामने आया कि इन खातों का इस्तेमाल साइबर ठगी से जुड़े लेनदेन के लिए किया जाना था। पुलिस को शक है कि आरोपियों ने कई और लोगों के नाम पर भी ऐसे खाते खुलवाए हो सकते हैं।
ऐसे पकड़े गए आरोपी
पुलिस ने 11 मार्च को मामला दर्ज कर जांच शुरू की। जांच के दौरान सूचना मिली कि आरोपी बैंक किट और अकाउंट डिटेल्स लेकर गोवा जा रहे हैं, जहां उन्हें नेटवर्क के अन्य सदस्यों को सौंपा जाना था। सूचना के आधार पर पुलिस टीम ने आरोपियों का पीछा किया और पांच लोगों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया।
कौन-कौन गिरफ्तार
गिरफ्तार आरोपियों में विजयनगर जिले के वकदोत वकील (24) और राजा (23), झारखंड का जीशान अंसारी उर्फ जीसू (22), छत्तीसगढ़ के आकाश (32) और साहिल (22) शामिल हैं।
क्या-क्या बरामद हुआ
पुलिस ने आरोपियों के पास से 11 मोबाइल फोन और 8 बैंक किट जब्त किए हैं। इन किट में पासबुक, एटीएम कार्ड, सिम कार्ड और इंटरनेट बैंकिंग से जुड़ी जानकारी शामिल है, जो गडग और हावेरी जिलों में खोले गए खातों से संबंधित हैं।
पुलिस को शक है कि इस साइबर फ्रॉड नेटवर्क में और भी लोग शामिल हैं। फिलहाल तीन अन्य आरोपियों की तलाश की जा रही है और मामले की जांच जारी है।
