West Bengal: पश्चिम बंगाल के मालदा जिले में चुनाव से पहले बड़ा बवाल देखने को मिला, जहां सात न्यायिक अधिकारियों को करीब नौ घंटे तक बंधक बनाकर रखा गया। यह घटना कालियाचक इलाके में उस समय हुई जब वोटर लिस्ट से नाम हटाए जाने को लेकर लोगों का गुस्सा भड़क उठा।
रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक, नाराज़ लोगों की भीड़ ने अधिकारियों को एक सरकारी दफ्तर के अंदर घेर लिया और बाहर निकलने नहीं दिया। प्रदर्शनकारियों का आरोप था कि उनके नाम गलत तरीके से वोटर लिस्ट से हटा दिए गए हैं, जिससे वे मतदान नहीं कर पाएंगे।
हालात इतने बिगड़ गए कि जब अधिकारियों को बाहर निकाला जा रहा था, तब कुछ लोगों ने गाड़ियों पर पथराव भी किया, जिससे एक वाहन को नुकसान पहुंचा।
रात 1 बजे रिहाई, सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने जताई सख्त नाराजगी
करीब नौ घंटे तक चले इस ड्रामे के बाद पुलिस और अर्धसैनिक बलों की मदद से सभी अधिकारियों को देर रात करीब 1 बजे सुरक्षित बाहर निकाला गया। इसके बाद उन्हें सुरक्षित स्थान पर ले जाया गया।
इस घटना पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कड़ी नाराजगी जताते हुए इसे “गंभीर चूक” और “कर्तव्य में विफलता” बताया। कोर्ट ने कहा कि यह पूरी घटना चुनाव प्रक्रिया को प्रभावित करने की कोशिश जैसी लगती है।
साथ ही कोर्ट ने अधिकारियों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए केंद्रीय बलों की तैनाती के निर्देश दिए हैं।
इधर, इस मामले को लेकर राजनीतिक बयानबाजी भी तेज हो गई है। जहां बीजेपी ने राज्य सरकार पर निशाना साधा, वहीं तृणमूल कांग्रेस ने चुनाव आयोग को सुरक्षा की जिम्मेदारी बताते हुए खुद को इस घटना से अलग बताया है।
फिलहाल, प्रशासन हालात पर नजर बनाए हुए है, क्योंकि राज्य में जल्द ही चुनाव होने वाले हैं।
