साइबर क्राइम पर पुणे पुलिस का बड़ा एक्शन, ‘म्यूल अकाउंट’ इस्तेमाल करने वाले 152 लोग गिरफ्तार, 2100 को नोटिस जारी
देश भर में चल रहे ‘ऑपरेशन म्यून हंट’ के तहत पुलिस ने साइबर फ्रॉड के वित्तीय नेटवर्क पर शिकंजा कसना शुरू कर दिया है, जिसके तहत बैंक खाते किराए पर देने वालों पर गाज गिरी है।
पुणे पुलिस ने साइबर धोखाधड़ी (Cyber Crime) के खिलाफ एक बड़ा अभियान चलाते हुए बैंक खातों का गलत इस्तेमाल करने वाले 152 ‘म्यूल अकाउंट’ धारकों को गिरफ्तार किया है। पिछले दो हफ्तों में पुलिस ने पुणे शहर में 132 आपराधिक मामले दर्ज किए हैं और लगभग 2,100 अन्य खाताधारकों को नोटिस जारी किए गए हैं। यह कार्रवाई देशव्यापी ‘ऑपरेशन म्यून हंट’ (Operation Mule Hunt) का हिस्सा है, जिसका मुख्य उद्देश्य ऑनलाइन घोटालों के वित्तीय नेटवर्क (Financial Backbone) को तोड़ना है।
क्या होते हैं म्यूल अकाउंट?
साइबर अपराधी ठगी की रकम को ट्रांसफर करने और छुपाने के लिए ऐसे बैंक खातों का इस्तेमाल करते हैं, जिन्हें ‘म्यूल अकाउंट’ कहा जाता है। कई बार लोग पैसों के लालच में आकर अपने बैंक खाते, एटीएम कार्ड, चेक बुक या इंटरनेट बैंकिंग की डिटेल्स दूसरों को इस्तेमाल करने के लिए दे देते हैं। पुणे पुलिस के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों के मुताबिक, इस तरह के खातों की मदद से फ्रॉड का पैसा तेजी से इधर-उधर किया जाता है, जिससे अपराधियों तक पहुंचना मुश्किल हो जाता है।
कई राज्यों से जुड़े हैं तार
केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालय के भारतीय साइबर अपराध समन्वय केंद्र (I4C) से मिले इनपुट के आधार पर यह बड़ी कार्रवाई की गई है। पुणे के अलावा मुंबई, नवी मुंबई और छत्रपति संभाजीनगर समेत कई अन्य स्थानों पर भी जांच और गिरफ्तारियां की जा रही हैं। पुलिस आरोपियों के वित्तीय लेन-देन, कॉल रिकॉर्ड और डिजिटल साक्ष्यों की बारीकी से जांच कर रही है ताकि संगठित साइबर अपराध सिंडिकेट का पर्दाफाश किया जा सके।
पुलिस की कड़ी चेतावनी और अपील
पुणे पुलिस ने नागरिकों से अपील की है कि वे कभी भी अपने बैंक खाते, एटीएम कार्ड, चेक बुक, ओटीपी या अन्य गोपनीय दस्तावेज किसी अजनबी को न सौंपें। पुलिस ने चेतावनी दी है कि जो लोग अपने खातों का इस्तेमाल संदिग्ध लेनदेन के लिए होने देते हैं, उन्हें भी साइबर अपराध के मामलों में सह-आरोपी (Co-accused) बनाकर जेल भेजा जा सकता है। इसके अलावा, जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए पुलिस ने कई शैक्षणिक संस्थानों और सोसाइटियों में ‘कैंपस कनेक्ट – सेफ हॉरिजन’ जैसे अभियान चलाए हैं, जिसके तहत अब तक तीन लाख से अधिक नागरिकों को जागरूक किया जा चुका है।
