माइक्रोसॉफ्ट टीम्स पर ‘बॉस स्कैम’, पुणे की कंपनी को लगा 30 लाख रुपये का चूना
पुणे में साइबर ठगों ने कंपनी के डायरेक्टर का रूप धरकर दिया बड़ी ठगी को अंजाम, माइक्रोसॉफ्ट टीम्स प्लेटफॉर्म पर हुआ फ्रॉड।
पुणे में साइबर धोखाधड़ी का एक हैरान करने वाला मामला सामने आया है। यहां एक इंजीनियरिंग कंपनी को ‘बॉस स्कैम’ या ‘व्हेल फिशिंग’ के जरिए 30 लाख रुपये का भारी नुकसान उठाना पड़ा है। ठगों ने कंपनी के ही एक डायरेक्टर की फर्जी प्रोफाइल बनाकर इस वारदात को अंजाम दिया।
क्या है पूरा मामला?
भोसरी एमआईडीसी पुलिस स्टेशन में दर्ज कराई गई एफआईआर के मुताबिक, यह घटना भोसरी के बालाजीनगर स्थित कंपनी परिसर में हुई। एक साइबर ठग ने माइक्रोसॉफ्ट टीम्स (Microsoft Teams) पर कंपनी के डायरेक्टर की फोटो और नाम का इस्तेमाल कर फर्जी प्रोफाइल तैयार की। इसके बाद आरोपी ने कंपनी के माइक्रोसॉफ्ट टीम्स ग्रुप में घुसपैठ कर ली।
ऐसे दिया फ्रॉड को अंजाम
माइक्रोसॉफ्ट टीम्स के जरिए आरोपी ने कंपनी के एक कर्मचारी को मैसेज भेजा। इस संदेश में निर्देशक (डायरेक्टर) की तरह आदेश दिया गया कि तुरंत 30 लाख रुपये एक खास बैंक खाते में ट्रांसफर किए जाएं।
कर्मचारी ने डायरेक्टर का आदेश समझकर बिना किसी शक के बताए गए बैंक खाते में पैसे ट्रांसफर कर दिए। बाद में जब कंपनी को सच्चाई का पता चला, तो उनके होश उड़ गए।
पुलिस जांच में जुटी
पैसे ट्रांसफर होने के बाद कंपनी को अहसास हुआ कि यह निर्देश उनके डायरेक्टर ने नहीं दिए थे। इसके तुरंत बाद कंपनी प्रबंधन ने पुलिस से संपर्क किया। भोसरी एमआईडीसी पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और इस बात की जांच कर रही है कि इस फर्जीवाड़े के पीछे कौन था और ठगी गई रकम को कहां ट्रांसफर किया गया है। पुलिस अधिकारियों का कहना है कि कॉर्पोरेट संचार के लिए इस्तेमाल होने वाले प्लेटफॉर्म पर इस तरह का फ्रॉड बेहद गंभीर है।
