नोएडा में साइबर ठगों का बड़ा खेल, डिजिटल अरेस्ट के नाम पर बुजुर्ग दंपती से 58 लाख रुपये की ठगी
Noida: नोएडा के सेक्टर 137 से एक हैरान करने वाला मामला सामने आया है। यहां साइबर अपराधियों ने खुद को टेलीकॉम अधिकारी बताकर एक वरिष्ठ दंपती को मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग के झूठे मामले में फंसाने की धमकी दी और उनसे 58 लाख रुपये ठग लिए।
कैसे दिया गया ठगी को अंजाम?
11 अगस्त को इस बुजुर्ग दंपती के पास एक फोन आया। फोन करने वाले ने दावा किया कि वह एक टेलीकॉम कंपनी से बोल रहा है। उसने महिला को डराते हुए कहा कि उनके दस्तावेजों और बैंक खाते का इस्तेमाल एक मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग मामले में किया गया है।
इसके बाद ठगों ने व्हाट्सएप पर वीडियो कॉल के जरिए संपर्क किया और गंभीर कानूनी कार्रवाई की धमकी देकर दंपती पर मानसिक दबाव बनाया। डर के मारे दंपती ने सात अलग-अलग ट्रांजैक्शन के जरिए कुल 58 लाख रुपये ठगों के खातों में ट्रांसफर कर दिए।
पुलिस ने शुरू की जांच
पैसे ट्रांसफर होने के बाद जब ठगों ने फोन उठाना बंद कर दिया, तब दंपती को अहसास हुआ कि वे साइबर ठगी का शिकार हो चुके हैं। इसके बाद उन्होंने तुरंत साइबर क्राइम ब्रांच से संपर्क किया।
साइबर क्राइम ब्रांच के एसएचओ विजय राणा ने बताया कि मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए बुधवार को भारतीय न्याय संहिता (BNS) और आईटी एक्ट की प्रासंगिक धाराओं के तहत एफआईआर दर्ज कर ली गई है। पुलिस फिलहाल आरोपियों की तलाश में जुटी हुई है।
