उत्तर प्रदेश के महराजगंज जिले में नेपाल बाढ़ के पानी में बहकर आए चार अज्ञात शवों को कानूनी और प्रशासनिक प्रक्रिया पूरी करने के बाद नेपाल प्रशासन को सौंप दिया गया है। नारायणी-गंडक नदी में मिले इन शवों का पोस्टमार्टम और डीएनए परीक्षण कराया गया था, ताकि नेपाल में अपनों की तलाश कर रहे परिवारों तक सही जानकारी पहुंच सके।
नदी में मिले थे चार शव
अधिकारियों के अनुसार, महराजगंज जिले के अस्पताल की मोर्चरी में तीन महिलाओं और एक पुरुष के शव रखे गए थे। नेपाल में बाढ़ और भूस्खलन के बाद ये सभी शव तेज बहाव के कारण बहकर भारतीय सीमा में पहुंच गए थे। पहचान सुनिश्चित करने के लिए डॉक्टरों ने पोस्टमार्टम के दौरान इनके डीएनए सैंपल सुरक्षित रख लिए हैं।
महेशपुर बॉर्डर पर हुआ हस्तांतरण
निचलौल के तहसीलदार अमित सिंह के नेतृत्व में यह पूरी कार्रवाई की गई। औपचारिकताएं पूरी होने के बाद रविवार देर रात दोनों एम्बुलेंस के जरिए शवों को भारत-नेपाल सीमा पर स्थित ठूठीबारी के पास महेशपुर बॉर्डर पर नेपाल के नवलपरासी प्रशासन को सौंप दिया गया। अपर जिलाधिकारी प्रशांत कुमार ने बताया कि दोनों देशों के बीच प्रशासनिक तालमेल के तहत सभी जरूरी कानूनी कदम उठाए गए।
नेपाल में बाढ़ से भारी तबाही
पड़ोसी देश नेपाल में बाढ़ और बारिश के कारण हालात बेहद गंभीर बने हुए हैं। बाढ़ और हादसों की वजह से मरने वालों का आंकड़ा लगातार बढ़ रहा है, जबकि हजारों लोग अभी भी लापता बताए जा रहे हैं। सुरक्षा एजेंसियां और स्थानीय प्रशासन सीमावर्ती इलाकों में लगातार निगरानी बनाए हुए है।
