मुंबई में ‘Digital Arrest’ स्कैम का खुलासा, ₹91 लाख की ठगी में एक गिरफ्तार
Mumbai: पुलिस ने 49 वर्षीय एक व्यक्ति को गिरफ्तार किया है, जिस पर आरोप है कि उसने ‘डिजिटल अरेस्ट’ स्कैम को अंजाम देने में मदद की, जिसमें एक 63 वर्षीय महिला से ₹91 लाख की ठगी की गई।
बैंक अकाउंट उपलब्ध कराने का आरोप
आरोपी की पहचान Karan Suresh Kansaria के रूप में हुई है। पुलिस के अनुसार, वह उन बैंक खातों को उपलब्ध कराता था जिनका इस्तेमाल ठगों द्वारा पैसे ट्रांसफर करने के लिए किया जाता था। जांच में यह भी सामने आया कि ठगी की गई रकम का कुछ हिस्सा उसके खाते में ट्रेस हुआ है।
खुद को पुलिस अधिकारी बताकर किया गया संपर्क
पीड़िता, जो दहिसर की रहने वाली एक रिटायर्ड महिला हैं, को फरवरी में एक कॉल आया। कॉल करने वाले ने खुद को Bengaluru का पुलिस अधिकारी बताया और कहा कि उनका बैंक अकाउंट ₹3 करोड़ के मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग केस से जुड़ा है।
वीडियो कॉल और नकली पुलिस सेटअप से डराया
ठगों ने वीडियो कॉल के जरिए खुद को पुलिस के रूप में पेश किया और ऐसा माहौल बनाया जैसे महिला पुलिस कस्टडी में हो। उन्होंने Daya Nayak का नाम भी लिया ताकि डर और बढ़ाया जा सके।
कई दिनों तक मानसिक दबाव और फर्जी दस्तावेज
पुलिस के अनुसार, कई दिनों तक महिला पर दबाव बनाया गया कि वह अपनी वित्तीय जानकारी, संपत्ति और परिवार से जुड़ी जानकारी साझा करे। उसे फर्जी दस्तावेज भी भेजे गए जिन पर आधिकारिक मुहर जैसी दिखने वाली सील लगी हुई थी।
फिक्स्ड डिपॉजिट तोड़कर ट्रांसफर किए पैसे
डर के कारण महिला को अपनी सेविंग्स को “सिक्योर” अकाउंट में ट्रांसफर करने के लिए कहा गया। ठगों के निर्देश पर उसने अपने फिक्स्ड डिपॉजिट तोड़कर कुल ₹91 लाख ट्रांसफर कर दिए, जिसमें करीब ₹85 लाख एफडी से थे।
बेटी की सलाह के बाद सामने आया मामला
यह मामला 15 मार्च को तब सामने आया जब महिला की बेटी को इसकी जानकारी हुई और उसने पुलिस से संपर्क करने की सलाह दी। उसने बताया कि ऐसी जांचें ऑनलाइन नहीं की जाती हैं।
जांच जारी, अन्य आरोपियों की तलाश
जांच का नेतृत्व इंस्पेक्टर Sunil Lokhande कर रहे हैं। पुलिस ने आरोपी के खिलाफ भारतीय न्याय संहिता और आईटी एक्ट की संबंधित धाराओं में केस दर्ज किया है। फिलहाल रैकेट में शामिल अन्य लोगों की पहचान के लिए जांच जारी है।
